Who am I?
I am an empathic psychiatrist with a genuine interest for people's life stories. I have over 20 years clinical and academic experince from working with complex psychiatric problems and can help you find answers to what you've been finding difficult to manage mentally.
I meet you with respect and without pre-judgement. In working with you, I focus on finding your strengths so that you could meet challenges ahead with a positive attitude towards who you are and what you can achieve.
I have worked as a psychiatrist in United Kingdom, Norway and Iran. I speak fluent English, Norwegian and Persian and enjoy interacting with people from various ethnocultural backgrounds. I welcome international students, people from LGBTQ community, young and old.

Working with both children and adolescents as well as younger and older adults in Norway and UK.
Diagnostics and treatments of complex psychiatric illnesses including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, autism and Asperger syndrome, personality disorders, behavioural challenges, drug dependence, and eating disorders, weight regulation and overeating.
Individually tailored treatment plans using medication, psychotherapy or a combination of both when appropriate.
Various forms of psychotherapy including cognitive behavioural therapy(CBT), motivational techniques, metacognitive therapy and psychoanalysis.
Years of experience with psychoeducation for patients, their families and wider society.
Special interest in treating psychiatric disorders with medication, individually tailored psychoeducative approach to psychiatric illnesses , forensic psychiatry and witness expert assignments for courts of law, and clinical epidemiology.

Doctorate degree in medicine in November 1999 from Urmia Medical University
Speciality training in psychiatry 2006-2016, first at GKT (Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’s Rotational Scheme in Psychiatric Training, London) and afterward in Norway at Sykehuset Levanger and St. Olav University Hospital
